Dark Souls III

' And So it is, that Ash seeketh Embers...........'
A bit of a prelude before I actually get into this game. For someone who played the original Dark Souls, a brtual, tough terrifying and an equally satisfying experience I was dissapointed with Dark Souls 2, I felt the game in itself felt weird, the controls, movement and the overall tone of the the game was different. There are many who loved it as well, I am one of those who felt Dark Souls moved away from what it truly was with the second installment. Well to my immense surprise I came to know that the director of the first game had taken up the mantle again to give a proper send off to the franchise.. 'Dark Souls III'.
You will die, again and again. But Death in itself is not what makes Dark Souls hard. It's the consequences of death that makes it such a frightful experience. But it is also the same thing which makes it so much satisfying upon victory. Years, ages infact have passed since the events of the first game. Lothric the relam of the souls where convoluted worlds greet us. The fire is fading away with only embers present.Once again an undead is chosen to take up the mantle and link the flame. Sounds all too familiar but that's where the similarities end. Dark Souls 3 is the biggest and boldest attempt in making a game for the next generation of consoles.

We start off at Firelink Shrine and travel from Lothric to Anor Londo, a testament of what the dying of the first flame is causing those around it. The control mechanics and the movement despite being similar to the first game have been vastly improved, more freedom better control and a solid effort into making dodge the most important entity in the game. Trust me you are gonna have to master it if you intend to survive. Having spent a solid 65 hours in the game I can vouch for it.
The story or the lore of Dark Souls is rarely presented to you, it is upto the player's imagination to read information provided about the various items they coleect and what little several NPC's around the world share with you. A few familiar faces do bring a smile to your face, from Andre to Seigward they are make an appearance but something doesn't seem quite right. Once you understand the world enough it's that ages have past since you met the original ones the ones you see are all part of the world that is lost track of it's time with the fire fading away the world around you struggles to exist. Secret doors, tough enemies, unbelievable boss fight and amazing landscapes are what populate the world of Dark Souls 3.
Several new NPC's also show up each with a purpose and each making their mark on the story you unravel.Online play has improved considerably with players being able to summon others with the touch of a sign. Several boss encounters become so much fun thanks to these jolly co-op. Covenants also play a huge part in this game with warriors of each covenant often pitted against one another and leveling up their own covenant has it's own perks. Dark Souls 3 also introduces a variety of armors ranging from light to super heavy having removed armor upgrades only weapons and sheilds matter when it comes to personalization,
The true extent of what you see is simply not what you believe, Dark souls 3 hides many a secret and acts as a conclusion to a franchise, several startling revelations jaw dropping lore and canonical ending all make this Dark Soul experience that much memorable. Music and the atmosphere of dread are top notch and hats off to the director for pulling it off in such a grand scale, yes Dark Soul 3 is the biggest dark souls game ever made. Really amazed at how much content is there to this wonderful game.
Final Verdict : ' Dark Souls III is everything Dark Souls 2 should have been, it's everything Dark Souls ever was and something more. But it's where the Souls franchise comes to a conclusion. Thank you From Software for this Master Piece ^_^ '
