Am not sure where to begin, there are a million emotions going through me now as I watched the end credits roll. Let me tell you this never in your life will you experience something like this ever again. For a game to explore the various intricacies involved in human emotions it is a genuine effort by the developers to have the audacity to put the entire burden of a game solely on the story and have faith in the one experiencing the story unfold.This game tested my patience, made me endure things that would break me feel satisfied that I have at last experienced the delicacy a horror game carries.

A prank gone horribly wrong, twins beth & hannah gone missing and a reunion that happens on the first year anniversary of their disappearance. Throughout the game you get to explore the various relationships that exist between these 8 characters namely Sam, Josh, mike, jessica, emily, matt, chris and ashley. As you play along you are given various warning of future events in the form of toetms giving a glimpse on what might happen based on your actions. Motion controller is taken to the limit with the game entirely consisting of exploration, quick timed events and well simply staying still.

Not doing anything is sometimes the best thing to do. The game consists of 10 chapters each exploring every hour before dawn. The tension in each chapter gets increasingly dangerous with a lot of what you do decides whether each of these characters lives or dies. Exploration also helps you understand the story better and help uncover the true horror behind the events. Music by jason graves requires high praise as the atmosphere and the subtle sounds make the biggest difference, I would recommend playing the game with a good headset or an excellent surround system. Graphics are also top notch with facial expressions using motion capture bring out a truly memorable experience for those playing it.

Morality is another thing that is put to test, several core values of human nature such as honesty and loyalty and our preference to one over the other, all these complex emotions are so beautifully explored throughout the game. Hats off to super massive games for coming up with such a gene defining game, this game stands among legends such as heavy rain and shines.

Final Verdict : Until Dawn does what very few games this have ever tried to and succeeds, make us emotionally connect and it succeeds so flawlessly that leaves us in complete awe.
