' Ladies And Gentlemen, We are Jacob And Evie Fyre And as of this moment you all work for us '
The yearly release of an Assassin's Creed game has not only dulled the franchise but has also made Ubisoft run out of stories real quick. Following the debacle of Unity, they were in desperate need of a change to alter the franchise, something similar to what black flag accomplished after 3 came out.
Insert Syndicate, a tale of twins Jacob and Evie Fyre on a mission to take London back from the Templar Order.
Every Assssin's Creed game comprises of similar mechanics, monotonous gameplay so what can one do to make it interesting, sure the story does entice some but when you are going to spend hours of your time in a environment, populating it with quests and making you get rewards for completing them is one way of keeping up the pace. Also being able to control two different characters, to see lives from their perspective, to give credibility to their actions and most of all to relive a memorable brother and sister relationship.
Crafting system is also a unique addition to the game that let's you craft your own weapons, the best always comes with the craft. Skills are also an excellent addition helping us better our character with each level and letting us elevate havoc to new and crazy levels. Ubisoft is known for creating universes that span huge landscape and populous, to traverse such a huge landscape requires innovation, having given much thought to it Ubisoft came up with the concept of the Rope Launcher, quick and imaginative it helps traverse London with such ease, the launcher can also help you get out of sticky situations such as guard chases and gives you various infiltration opportunities.
Races, club fights and gang lookouts all offer several hours of fun in the Victorian era of London, the best part of the game to me would be the each characters you get to kill. Well to spice things up Ubisoft has come up with something called finding opportunities, this was something already prevalent in Unity but has been refined so well that it fits syndicate like a glove.
The concept of opportunities gives you unique, kills, unique assistance and overall an unique experience. It is how it exactly happened and how the developers want you to experience it. In the real life the Assassin's and Templars are playing a game of chase in locating a precursor artifact called 'Shroud'. By reliving of the twin memories we get to uncover it's location and also helps us understand how a Templar by the name of Crawford Starrick came dangerously close to capturing all of London.
Final Verdict : Assassin's Creed Syndicate takes the franchise to new heights, getting everything right this time round. Nothing is True Everything Is Permitted.
